Your Easy Sunday Reset Routine

Let’s be honest. By the time Sunday rolls around, most of us are somewhere between “I need to get my life together” and “I’m not mentally prepared for Monday.”

A Sunday reset isn’t about being perfect or turning into a productivity queen overnight. It’s just about doing a few small things that help future you feel a little less stressed during the week.

Think of it as giving your next week a head start instead of waking up Monday already behind. Here’s a simple, realistic Sunday reset you can actually stick to.

Go Screenless for a Bit

We’re all glued to our phones all week long. Emails, social media, group chats, work notifications, endless scrolling. Your brain barely gets a break.

Try going screen free for just part of Sunday. Start small if you need to. Turn off your phone for one, two, or even four hours. If you’re feeling bold, try going most of the day without it.

Use that time to rest, tidy up, cook, journal, or just exist without constantly checking notifications. You’ll be surprised how calm your brain feels when you’re not consuming content every five minutes.

Tackle the Laundry Mountain

Laundry has a way of piling up when the week gets busy. Suddenly you’re digging through baskets Monday morning looking for that one clean outfit.

Instead of trying to wash everything at once, start with one load at a time. Wash, dry, fold, and actually put it away before starting the next one.

Small wins count. Even finishing one or two loads makes your week smoother. And nothing feels better than grabbing clean clothes when you’re rushing out the door.

Set Yourself Up for Success

A little prep goes a long way during the week.

Use Sunday to grocery shop, do a little meal prep, or at least plan out what you’re going to eat so you’re not ordering takeout every night because you’re tired.

Planning outfits for the week also saves so much mental energy in the mornings. Even just choosing work outfits or gym sets ahead of time makes getting ready way less stressful.

Get a Little Organized

You don’t need to deep clean the whole house. Just reset the spaces you use every day.

Wipe down the kitchen. Clean the bathroom counter. Toss the random receipts and cups out of your car. And yes, finally throw away that week old Chipotle bag.

Don’t Forget to Actually Rest

This part matters most.

A reset isn’t just about chores and getting organized. It’s also about slowing down before another busy week starts.

Take a moment to chill. Read a book. Watch your comfort show. Take a long shower. Call your bestie and catch up. Do something that feels good and reminds you you’re a human, not just a to do list.

Reset Your Way

Your reset doesn’t have to be perfect. Even doing one or two of these things can help you start the week feeling more prepared and less stressed.
